Awarding of Degrees
The Registrar’s Office awards degrees at the close of each 8-week term; degrees can only be awarded upon completion of all degree/program requirements, including the resolution of all incomplete coursework, and the receipt and posting of all transfer credit. The degree conferral date will reflect the last day of the term in which a student satisfies all requirements. Students who have not submitted their Application for Graduation by the stated deadline within the graduation cycle, or who have not resolved all outstanding requirements, will have their anticipated graduation date moved to the next available cycle. Degrees will not be awarded retroactively.
Application for Graduation
Students must submit a formal application for graduation through the Degree Conferral Application, located in the eLion student portal. Payment is required at the time of submission, even if the student chooses not to participate in the Commencement exercises. Students must submit the application no later than two semesters/terms prior to the anticipated completion date.
Diplomas
Diplomas will be mailed to the address provided by the student on their Application for Graduation. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing and mailing of diplomas, following a graduation cycle.

Graduates will receive an email to their personal email address (if one is on file) or the Saint Leo email with instructions for electronically claiming their diploma.

Diploma Reorders
Requests for additional copies of your diploma may be purchased any time after conferral. The fee for each diploma, through regular U.S.P.S. mail, is $45.00. The reorder process takes approximately 3 weeks. Duplicate diplomas will be in the current style and bear the signature of the current administrators. Additional costs apply for USPS express mail (1-3 days) to domestic addresses, as well as international shipping, and expedited delivery cannot be guaranteed.
