The Saint Leo University Community Music School is a place of belonging for music lovers of all ages. From summer camps and community choir groups to private lessons, the Community Music School offers a variety of opportunities to learn and practice music with the expert guidance of Saint Leo University faculty members, who also are professional musicians in the community.

Meet the Instructors
Community Art and Writing
This camp is designed for 8-12 year olds who wish to create their own book. We will be teaching narrative skills in the morning and illustration skills in the afternoon. At the end of the week, your child will have a completed book, bound, to take home. We encourage all children to bring their creative skills to this hands-on camp. Please ensure your child has a bag lunch. We will provide all supplies.

Community Dance
Would you love to learn how to dance? Are you ready to swing and tango? Then these classes are for you! Classes are designed by age group so choose a group, put on your dancing shoes and get ready to have some fun and exercise.

Community Music
Community Adult Band: Summer Season:
Do you play an instrument and would love to join a community band? We are accepting registrations for 18 years old + to join us in a community band led by professional musicians who have more than 100 years of experience between them. The summer season is the perfect time to join us in our jazz/pop band. Bring out the red carpet and join your Community Choir peers in an end of season patriotic concert. Registration is open now!

Community Adult Choir: Summer Season:
Saint Leo Community Music Choir is looking for individuals who love to sing. Do you have any experience singing in a group? Do you want to meet people? Come and join us! The summer season registration is open now. We will conclude the season with a performance focused on patriotic music in time for July 4th. Come and show your patriotism through song!

Are you currently in a pep band, marching band, school band, or jazz band? Come and join us at Saint Leo for a week long day camp to enhance your skills and meet new peers. Professional musicians will lead you in this camp for Middle and High School students. Registration is open!

Youth Camp Fees
Each camp is $345. The registration fee must be paid prior to the start date. A 10 percent discount is available to military members, Saint Leo University employees, and their children.

Private Lessons
Love to Learn Music
The Saint Leo University Community Music School is a place for those who love music. Whether you already sing or play an instrument, or want to learn how, the Community Music School provides one-on-one coaching to help you develop your talents and further your love for learning music.
Youth and adult learners are welcome to sign up for private lessons during eight-week sessions held in the summer and eight-week and 12-week sessions held during the regular school year. A music gala is held every 12 weeks for students in the school. Lessons are available year-round, excluding federal and state holidays.
Private Piano Lessons
Have you ever wanted to learn the piano? Are you an experienced piano player? Would you love to learn more? Register now for the opportunity to work with a professional pianist. All levels are highly encouraged, but spots are limited. Register today!

Private Lesson Fees
Half-hour Lessons for Eight Weeks
$40 per lesson or $320 when paid in full
Private Lessons are on a first-come, first-served basis. Once spots are full, we may not be able to open others at that time. However, there will be a wait list, as each community school offering will be open every eight-week or 12-week interval, depending on whether summer or school year.
