Saint Leo University was named as providing two of the best online programs in the United States, according to the 2020 U.S. News & World Report's Best Online Programs edition, which was released January 14.
Saint Leo (https://www.saintleo.edu/) ranked 80th in the Best Online Programs for bachelor's degrees, and 49th in the country for the Best Online Bachelor's Programs for Veterans. The university consistently has been honored by U.S. News & World Report for its online education programs.
Launched in December 1998, Saint Leo was one of the first institutions to embrace online education with the creation of the Center for Online Learning.
"Saint Leo was at the forefront of online learning, and the university continues to strengthen its online programs," said Dr. Jeffrey D. Senese, university president. "We want all students to have the flexibility afforded by taking online classes as well as access to highly reputable programs."
In 2019, Saint Leo began offering five new degree programs online: bachelor of arts in elementary education (Florida residents); bachelor of arts in education studies; bachelor of arts in human services; and bachelor of science and master of science in software engineering. This month, Saint Leo began offering the bachelor of arts in emergency management.
