It's Tampa's famous Cuban sandwiches vs. Kansas City barbecue as two university presidents make a friendly food wager on Sunday's Super Bowl game.

Shane Smeed, interim president of Park University in Missouri, issued a challenge today (February 2) to Dr. Jeff Senese, president of Saint Leo University. Sneed said if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win the national championship on Sunday — "and it's highly unlikely" — he will send "some world famous Kansas City barbecue" to Senese and post a photo of himself wearing a Bucs jersey in his office on the campus in Parkville, MO.

Senese accepted the challenge on behalf of the "soon to be champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers," and countered that he looks forward to seeing Sneed in a Tampa Bay Bucs jersey when the home team beats the Kansas City Chiefs. "We'll be sending you some Cuban sandwiches to celebrate our win," Senese said.

Saint Leo University is the exclusive educational partner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while Park University is the official higher education partner of the Kansas City Chiefs. Saint Leo University's residential campus is in St. Leo, FL, in Pasco County, just north of Tampa. Saint Leo also teaches at two locations in Tampa—at its Tampa Education Center in the historic Berriman-Morgan Cigar Factory building, 1403 N. Howard Ave., and at MacDill Air Force Base.

The Tampa location is proudly waving the Buccaneers' banner to cheer on the team in Sunday's Super Bowl.
