Graduate Admissions - Criminal Justice Programs
Saint Leo University admissions are rolling, which means you can enroll at any time and begin your studies during one of our six convenient start dates throughout the year.
We base our admission decisions on consideration of all criteria. Each applicant is evaluated individually. Your motivation, maturity, work experience, and leadership qualities are carefully considered along with academic records and test scores.
Admission to Saint Leo University is a simple, straightforward process. In order to become a degree-seeking student in one of our online graduate criminal justice programs, you will need to complete the following steps.
Application Process
To apply for enrollment in one of Saint Leo University's online graduate criminal justice programs:
- Fill out the online application.
- Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions previously attended. Graduates or former students of Saint Leo University do not need to submit their Saint Leo University transcripts. A United States equivalency evaluation must accompany international transcripts from foreign institutions, which must be certified by an approved evaluation service. Transcripts can be sent electronically to grad.admissions@saintleo.edu or mailed to Office of Graduate Admissions (address listed below).
- Statement of Professional Goals
If your Bachelor’s degree in under a 3.0 cumulative GPA please complete an essay of 500 words at minimum outlining your professional goals. The essay should address the following questions:
- What are your professional goals and how will a Criminal Justice degree from Saint Leo University assist you in reaching those goals?
- Based on your previous collegiate, professional, and life experience, why do you think now this is the right time for you to enroll into the Criminal Justice program?
- How do you think you will be able to handle an academic rigor of a graduate program that requires students to maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA?

Once all of a student's documents have been received, you can expect official notification of our admission decision within 30 business days. If you do not qualify for admission by meeting the usual requirements, but show promise of academic success, Saint Leo University may grant provisional admission.
