Robotics Lab

Welcome to the Saint Leo University Robotics Lab, where innovation and technology converge to shape the future of robotics. Our dedicated lab is a dynamic hub of creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning, providing a cutting-edge platform for students, enthusiasts, and researchers alike.

At the heart of our robotics community is the Saint Leo University Robotics Club, a vibrant and collaborative space where like-minded individuals come together to share their passion for robotics. Whether you're a seasoned expert or a newcomer eager to delve into the exciting world of robotics, our club offers a supportive environment where you can engage in projects, attend meetings, and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

In addition to fostering a community within our Robotics Club, Saint Leo University takes pride in extending our commitment to education through our Robotics Summer Camp. This unique program is designed to ignite the curiosity and creativity of young minds, offering a hands-on experience that introduces participants to the fascinating realm of robotics.

Bachelor's Degree in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

Saint Leo University’s Bachelor of Science in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence degree offers students a full-time degree program at the University Campus. One of the most innovative and rapidly growing areas, the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence are beginning to play an important role in many aspects of modern society, such as automation, manufacturing, the defense industry, commerce—like Amazon—and the healthcare industry to mention a few. Rapid advancements in manufacturing, technology and the opening of new markets around the globe, is creating a surge in the demand for robots and highly skilled robotics engineers, which is expected to grow well into the 21st century.

Q: What are some examples of career opportunities with this degree?

A: There are many new and evolving opportunities across various industries. Here in Florida, the bulk of the jobs are in manufacturing and developing robotic controllers to perform various functions to improve the efficiency of how goods are manufactured. If you look at Cape Canaveral with NASA, SpaceX, and the commercialization of space travel and exploration, a significant amount of operations are automated using AI. All of this will require more experts to put their skills in robotics and AI to use.
