Each student attending our traditional program at University
Campus full time (12 or more credit hours) is required to carry
health insurance. This policy applies to commuter students
registered full time as well.
To assist students in following this policy, the University
automatically enrolls students in the University-endorsed health
insurance plan and bills their student
accounts. The premium for the 2014-2015
academic year was $1,194. The premium for 2015-2016 is subject to

Students with their own insurance through a group or individual
plan may waive the coverage and avoid the fee. To waive the
insurance, students should complete the online waiver process.
Insurance waivers can only be submitted online. Insurance
waivers for students enrolling in Fall 2015 must be completed no
later than September 7, 2015.
Please note insurance waivers are NOT guaranteed and may be
denied for various reasons. Reasons for denial include but are not
limited to the following:

unless they have coverage with a U.S. provider.
WAIVER OPENS: The online waiver process will be
available for students entering in the Fall 2015
semester beginning July 15, 2015. PLEASE NOTE: Students
will not have access to the waiver process until they have been
registered full time. Students will receive an email when they are
able to complete the waiver process.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: The deadline to submit
completed waivers for students beginning in the Fall 2015
semester is midnight of September 7, 2015. There are no exceptions
to this waiver deadline.
Please note that students will not have access to the waiver or
enrollment forms until after the process opens and they are
registered full time.
