Most entry-level positions in professional sport require sales skills. After all, there is no game without the fans who spend money on tickets and team merchandise. Saint Leo’s minor in Marketing and Sales in Sport will immerse you in the sales, marketing and financial aspects of the sport industry. Gain hands-on experience in selling, ticketing software, and preparing sponsorship proposals.

Saint Leo also offers minors in Risk Management in Sport and Sport Hospitality, as well as a COSMA-accredited B.A. Sport Business.

Professional development opportunities

  • Conferences: Network with industry professionals, present at Saint Leo's annual International Business Conference, and participate in a national case study competition at the Sport Marketing Association Conference.
  • Internships: Students have interned with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Madison Square Garden, International Softball Federation, numerous minor league baseball clubs and FC Bayern Munich in Germany.
