PLEASE NOTE: Spring Orientation starts on Saturday, January 5, 2013 and all international students should plan to arrive on Friday (January 4, 2013) or Saturday (January 5, 2013).
There will be a special orientation session for international students held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013.
International Student Orientation begins prior to Freshman, Transfer and/or Graduate Orientation and is required for all international students. The purpose of orientation is to help you make the transition to University life in the United States. Academic, cultural and immigration issues are discussed in detail. In addition, social activities such as time with your Orientation Leaders, dinner with student leaders on-campus, and a shopping trip are among the things that are planned.
This orientation dovetails into the New Student Orientation activities so that once the international students have gotten to know one another, they are also able to get to know other new U.S. students during the regular orientation.
