1. Is an Online Program as effective as attending classes on campus?

Yes! Over 4,000,000 adult professionals are already pursuing degrees through online degree programs. We offer state-of-the-art study materials utilizing video, CD-ROM, audio and textbook formats which are convenient for your individual lifestyle and educational needs.

2. What is tuition for this online program?

Tuition is $470 per credit hour, $250 for active military. Saint Leo University accepts numerous financial aid programs, including all government financial aid.

3. What if I need help with my course work?

It's easy to get help. When you are accepted into a program, you will be assigned your own academic advisor. If you have a specific question about a course, you can contact your professor by phone or email. You will be able to discuss your program progress and any questions you may have with your Student Advisor.

4. Can I complete all of the required course work online?

Yes. All of the courses offered by Saint Leo University are available via the Internet. You will never have to step foot on campus unless you wish to march down the aisle with your graduating class!

5. Will I be earning an accredited degree?

Yes. Saint Leo University is regionally accredited and nationally recognized as a prominent and innovative leader in adult online education. Accreditation means that Saint Leo University has met the criteria reflecting the qualities of a sound educational program, as delineated by the United States Department of Education. Regional accreditation is the highest form of accreditation a college or university can obtain and is recognized throughout the U.S.

6. Will I have to take exams?

Your grade will be based on assignments evaluated by your professor. These assignments may be in the form of papers, case studies, business plans and examinations. The evaluation process will be conducted in the same media formats in which the course is presented. It will not be necessary to travel to a testing location or make arrangements for private proctoring of any examinations.

7. When can I start the program?

You can enroll at any time and begin your studies in one of our six convenient terms during the year. Call now before the enrollment deadline passes for the upcoming term.

8. Will my actual degree reflect that it was earned through an online program?

No. There is no distinction made between a degree earned online and one earned on campus. Your degree is awarded based on competency and successfully meeting academic requirements, not upon geographic location or residency.

9. Will my credits from other schools transfer?

Saint Leo University accepts transfer credits only from regionally accredited colleges and universities.

10. What kind of computer do I have to use?

Our courses and programs are available via the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be accessed using a standard Web browser, an Apple or Pentium-class personal computer and an Internet Service Provider. Saint Leo University highly recommends all students have:

  • Internet Explorer 6.0
  • Quicktime 5.0
  • Pentium Class PC
  • 16 bit(High Color) Video Display @ 800 x 600 or greater
  • 128 Megs of RAM
  • 56.6 kbps modem or higher
  • Internet Service Provider (for example Mindspring or UUNet)
  • 16-bit Soundcard and speakers (for online lectures)
  • 8x CD-ROM

11. Is financial aid available?

Yes. Saint Leo University accepts numerous financial aid programs, including governmental financial aid.

12. Is Military Tuition Assistance available?

Yes. We are a member of the Service members Opportunities Colleges (SOC), which serves active duty and reserve component members and their family members in all uniformed services. Their degrees are approved by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In addition, you may be eligible for Military Tuition Assistance (MTA). Saint Leo is also a participant in the Army University Access Online or eArmyU. The education coordinator on your installation and the Veterans Benefits Coordinator at Saint Leo University can answer your questions about military educational benefits.

13. How do I get my required course materials?

For each course in which you enroll, you will receive via mail (immediately prior to the start of the course) the corresponding textbook(s), student guides and case studies for your course, as well as supplemental CDs, videotapes and audio cassettes if they are required for a particular course.

14. Can I pay for my courses with employer-assisted tuition?

Yes. Employer-assisted tuition is accepted. Please discuss our programs with your Personnel or Human Resources Director, and then call your Enrollment Counselor.

15. If I earn my online degree may I attend the graduation ceremony on campus?

Yes. Saint Leo University welcomes you to take part in your graduation ceremonies on campus once you have successfully completed your degree. In fact, you have an open invitation to visit our main campus anytime you wish. Contact the Center for Online Learning for the details and dates of your commencement.
