Scholarships

Saint Leo University administers a variety of privately funded scholarships made possible through gifts from generous benefactors. Students who apply for financial aid at Saint Leo University are automatically considered for the majority of these scholarship sources. The scholarships listed below invite student applications. Please carefully review awarding criteria and application deadline for the scholarship listed below. An application must be completed for each scholarship and submitted via email on or before the stated deadline.

Virginia Undergraduate Scholarship The recipient must be a civilian student of sophomore standing (completed 30+ credit hours); The recipient must be currently enrolled at one of the Virginia continuing education centers of Saint Leo University; The recipient must have completed and passed 12 credits with Saint Leo University prior to application; The recipient must reside in Virginia; The recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0	January 2, 2014	Closed for FY 2013-14
Virginia Graduate Scholarship The recipient must be a graduate student currently enrolled at one of the Virginia continuing education centers of Saint Leo University; The recipient must have completed 6 credit hours with Saint Leo University prior to application; The recipient must reside in Virginia; The recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5	January 2, 2014	Closed for FY 2013-14
Aloysius Bolak Memorial Scholarship The recipient must be a full-time University Campus undergraduate history major; The recipient must have demonstrated financial need	January 2, 2014	Closed for FY 2013-14
Alumni Association Scholarship The recipient must be a full-time University Campus student of junior standing, eligible to register as a senior in the upcoming fall semester; The recipient must not have been on academic, conduct or disciplinary probation for the last three semesters; The recipient should exhibit an extraordinary interest in the Saint Leo University community by active involvement in campus organizations, clubs, or athletic teams	January 2, 2014	Closed for FY 2013-14
Gaston R. and Evelyn De Groote Scholarship The recipient must be full-time University Campus undergraduate students; The recipient must have financial need; Preference given to students from Nazareth, East Flanders, Belgium; followed by Catholic parish students from Riverview, FL; and then international and American students	January 2, 2014	Closed for 2013-14

Dr. Arthur F. Donald R. Tapia TKE Scholarship The recipient must be a current member or the TKE fraternity at Saint Leo University; The recipient must be a full-time University Campus sophomore, junior or rising senior in good social standing; The recipient must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA; The recipient must have demonstrated financial need; There may be multiple recipients each year; The scholarship amount may vary depending on the financial need of the recipient	January 2, 2014	Closed for FY 2013-14
Ted Williams Museum Sport Business Scholarship The recipient must be a full-time University Campus Sport Business junior or rising senior in the upcoming fall; The recipient must be enrolled for a minimum of two academic semesters in the Sport Business major prior to application; The recipient must have demonstrated financial need; The recipient must be a student-athlete in good standing, participating in one of the intercollegiate athletic teams for a minimum of two years; The recipient must have a cumulative and major GPA of 3.0	January 2, 2014	Closed for FY 2013-14
Syrian Undergraduate Scholarship Scholarship award will vary up to total estimated cost of attendance; Applicant must be a Syrian national; Applicant must attend as a full-time student at the University Campus of Saint Leo University; Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on transcript; Applicant must be proficient in English (both written and oral)	TBD	Closed for FY 2013-14
Sport Business Advisory Board Internship Scholarship Must be a Sport Business major; Must be a Saint Leo University Campus junior or senior (60+ credit hours completed and passed); Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8; Must be enrolled in SPB 495 and SPB 496 during the semester of the internship; Must show demonstrated financial need; and, Must have enrolled full-time at Saint Leo for a minimum of two academic semesters prior to application	January 14, 2014	Closed for FY 2013-14
Marcel and Clare Gloriot Memorial Foundation Scholarship For a full-time University Campus international undergraduate experiencing financial problems; and, Must have at least 2.75 cumulative GPA and be of good moral character	January 2, 2014	Closed for FY 2013-14
Rothrauff Family Endowed Scholarship The recipeient must be enrolled at the South Hampton Roads Education Center of Saint Leo University; The recipient must have demonstrated financial need; The recipient will be a non-traditional single parent entering their junior year (completed and passed 60+ credit hours); and, The recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5	January 2, 2014	Closed for 2013
Dennis Weber Endowed Scholarship The recipient must be enrolled at the South Hampton Roads Education Center of Saint Leo University; The recipient must be demonstrated financial need; The recipient must have completed and passed a minimum of 90 credit hours toward graduation by the end of Spring I term on March 7 of each year; and, The recipient must have a GPA of 2.5 or above. Mary Elizabeth O’Connell Scholarship – Fall Award The recipient must be enrolled at the Madison Education Center of Saint Leo University; The recipient must have demonstrated financial need; The recipient must be an elementary education major entering their final internship; The recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5; and, Award to be used for tuition and/or fees	June 15, 2013	August 1, 2013
Mary Elizabeth O’Connell Scholarship – Spring Award The recipient must be enrolled at the Madison Education Center of Saint Leo University; The recipient must have demonstrated financial need; The recipient must be an elementary education major entering their final internship; The recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5; and, Award to be used for tuition and/or fees	October 15, 2013	December 1, 2013
The Ana T. Di Donato ’00 Servant Leadership Scholarship The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time University Campus undergraduate; The recipient must be entering their senior year in the coming Fall; The recipient must have demonstrated financial need; The recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; and, The recipient must exemplify characteristics of a servant leader	January 2, 2014	Closed for 2013
Edward L. Flemming Memorial Scholarship The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time University Campus junior or rising senior; The recipient must be a psychology major; and, The recipient must have demonstrated financial need	January 2, 2014	Closed for 2013
ITHM Industry Liaison Council Scholarship The recipients must be full-time University Campus International Tourism and/or Hospitality Management juniors and/or rising seniors with demonstrated financial need; The recipients must be enrolled in the ITHM program for a minimum of two academic semesters and have completed at least 15 credit hours in ITHM courses by the end of the semester in which the applicant is submittingl The recipients must have a cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 at the time of application; and, Two awards shall be given - one for International Tourism and one for Hospitality Management	August 15, 2013	September 30, 2013
