Parent Advisory Council

• Join the Parent Advisory Council, and work hand-in-hand with the Office of Parent Relations to create a positive and meaningful experience for all parents in the Saint Leo community.
• Membership is open to any parent of a University Campus traditional student.
• Develop and implement activities that support admissions, career development, university advancement and parent outreach.

Admissions

• Contact the Office of Admissions to find out what you can do to help.
• Encourage youth in your community, school or church who are looking at colleges to consider Saint Leo University, and visit the campus.
• Post and distribute admissions literature in appropriate places—youth centers, college information centers, career centers, church bulletin boards.
• Represent Saint Leo University at a college fair.
• Make "welcome" phone calls to the families of admitted students.
• Host a regional "send-off" for incoming freshmen.

Campus Life

• Contact University Ministry with special intentions to include in Sunday Mass.
• Be familiar with Saint Leo University’s Core Values—excellence, community, respect, personal development, responsible stewardship, integrity—and help instill them in your child.
• Visit campus and your student during the annual Fall Family Weekend.

Career Planning

• Get in touch with Career Planning to provide summer internships for students who live in your area.
• Make a relevant special presentation in your area of expertise to a class.
• Provide career advice and job opportunities to graduating students.

Advancement

• Make www.saintleo.edu your homepage so you can stay informed with regular news updates.
• Read the Parents e-Newsletter that is emailed six times per year.
• Read the University’s magazine, Spirit, highlighting examples of integrity and excellence within our institution.
• Share Saint Leo news with your friends and peers through Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Google Plus.
• Tell a different person about Saint Leo University every day.
• Participate in a regional gathering of alumni and parents.
• Consider making a gift to Saint Leo University.
