Virginia Aquarium Becomes Saint Leo University For A Night

October 18, 2011

Saint Leo University hosted its second annual Community Event at the Virginia Aquarium in Virginia Beach, VA, on October 8. More than 350 Saint Leo alumni, students, faculty, and staff had the opportunity to visit the vast aquarium and its exhibits, while sampling plenty of food and sharing stories about their Saint Leo experiences.

Guests also participated in silent auctions and enjoyed a brief overview and update of Saint Leo University's continued growth. All proceeds from admission and from the silent auction will be applied to the Virginia Great Expectations Scholarships.

Earlier in the week Saint Leo University President Arthur F. Kirk, Jr., and Dr. Michael Nastanski, dean of the Donald R. Tapia School of Business, presented a Strategic HR/Business Seminar in Hampton, VA. Dr. Kirk's presentation focused on "Strategic Planning for Cultural Change" while Dean Nastanski presented "Leveraging Sustainable Development to Increase Brand Value and Profitability."
