Service Before Self Military Talk at Saint Leo by Lake Jovita Resident

Colonel Sheri W. Andino, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), will be the guest speaker at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, in TECO Hall in the Donald R. Tapia School of Business building at Saint Leo University. Colonel Andino is a Lake Jovita resident.
Her presentation is one of several special programs in celebration of Saint Leo University’s 40- year anniversary of educating our nations members of the armed forces. The community is invited to attend the free program.
Colonel Andino, recipient of the Bronze Star and the Legion of Merit, is currently the Air Force Junior ROTC instructor at Springstead High School in Spring Hill, where she serves as the senior aerospace science instructor.
Colonel Andino was commander and head of the Aerospace Studies Department of Air Force ROTC Detachment 165, Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta, GA. Colonel Andino entered the Air Force in 1980 and earned her commission through the Air Force ROTC program at the University of Florida. She received her navigator wings in July 1981.
She has more than 13 years of flying experience as a KC-135 instructor and evaluator navigator, having held numerous wing positions. Aircraft she has flown include T-43, T-37, and KC-135 A/Q/R/T. In July 1998, Col. Andino was selected as commander of the 424th Air Base Squadron, comprised of RAF Fairford and RAF Welford in the United Kingdom. She has held several staff assignments during her meritorious career.
She holds a B.S. in business administration and finance from the University of Florida and an M.B.A. in management from Golden Gate University in California.
