The popular online site U.S. News and World Report ranks Saint Leo University among the top universities in the South in its 2014 “Best Colleges” edition. Saint Leo appears among Regional Universities in the South.
The U.S. News and World Report ranking of 55 in the southern regional category reflects life at Saint Leo's traditional University Campus north of Tampa. Statistics highlighted in the ranking include Saint Leo’s favorable student to faculty ratio of 15-to- 1 (based on 2012 data). The report found more than half the classes surveyed have fewer than 20 students.
University President Arthur F. Kirk, Jr., commented that “Saint Leo continues in our mission as an inclusive, welcoming, student-centered university that prepares leaders for a challenging world, in which they will do well and do good. We are glad that more people are recognizing Saint Leo, and spreading the word about our quality and value.”
Saint Leo offers a full range of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, as well as associate degrees, graduate certifications, and a newly introduced Doctor of Business Administration degree. Undergraduates earn degrees in more than 40 fields, including business administration, criminal justice, education, biology and psychology. Undergraduate tuition for the current year is one-third less than the national average for private, four-year institutions.
