Rock the Vote organization, the hugely successful nonpartisan voter registration organization, comes to University Campus Tuesday, August 28, to deliver its energizing blend of rock music and civic awareness to students and community members.

The Road Trip 2012 tour bus will be parked and open near the Tapia Lakeside Plaza of the Student Community Center Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to serving as a backdrop for musical performances, the bus is equipped with laptop kiosks to enable voter registration and to educate voters about the election process. In case of rain, events will be moved inside the SCC.

Saint Leo is the first stop of a multi-location tour through the South, timed to coincide with the Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL, beginning August 28 because of the weather delay, and the Democratic National Convention beginning in Charlotte, NC, September 4.

Rock the Vote's appearance is sponsored by Student Services. It is one of the many activities and programs that Saint Leo is offering to engage students and the community in the democratic process.
