Prize Winning Feature Writer, Editor Attract Crowd at Library

Prize_Winning Lane DeGregory, foreground, feature writer with the St. Pete Times, and Mike Wilson, managing editor of the newspaper, presented invaluable advice to writers at a forum Wednesday evening at the Daniel A. Cannon Memorial Library. The veteran journalists covered topics such as ways to gather detail, set a scene, and pace a story. DeGregory won the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for feature writing, and Wilson is her editor. About 125 people turned out for the discussion, including many from the community.
