November Events Calendar Features Veterans Day, A Day for Saint Leo, Fall Art Gala, Christmas Concert

Saint Leo University welcomes those near University Campus to come and enjoy any of the following events. Parking is available in the campus garage, and in the evening is also often available in surface lots. The campus is at 33701 State Road 52, Saint Leo, four miles east of Interstate 75 (Exit 285).

Advisory: Watch for State Road 52 construction and possible nighttime closures.

Friday, November 11 – Veterans Day  is commemorated at University Campus with a formal ceremony at 11 a.m. on the loggia outside the School of Business building. State Rep. Daniel Burgess, R- Zephyrhills, will be the guest speaker. In case of inclement weather, the program will move into the Greenfelder-Denlinger Boardrooms of the Student Community Center. Light refreshments will be available.

Friday, November 11 – A Day for Saint Leo  began in 2014 as part of the university’s 125th anniversary and celebrated on the second Friday of November, during Founders Week, A Day for Saint Leo has grown to be an annual day of school spirit, fun, and giving back.

The day will be capped off with a special Day for Saint Leo celebration at University Campus. The schedule is:

5:30 p.m.: food trucks, activities, and DJ
6 p.m.: fireworks
6:30 p.m.: concert featuring Forrest Hoffar
7:30 p.m.: crowning of the 2016 king and queen of Saint Leo

This evening event is entirely free and open to students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the university. Reserve your ticket today.

Tuesday, November 15, 1-5 p.m. – Fall Art Gala  will be held in the Fine Arts Building will feature DIY artwork to take home, and you can take a spin on the pottery wheel, see fall art show, hear live music, eat snacks, drink refreshments and have a great time. Christmas -tree -lighting 

Tuesday, November 29, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – A Saint Leo Christmas  is our annual holiday concert program with student and faculty performers. The lighting of the University Campus tree and blessing of the outdoor manger display follow the evening performance. Although admission is free, tickets are required to ensure seating.
