New Faculty Appointments for Multiple Academic Departments

Saint Leo University welcomed 10 new faculty members to the full-time teaching staff at the start of the year. Appointments were made at each of the three colleges that comprise the university. Some of the new faculty members teach students enrolled at centers in other states, or in downtown Tampa, FL. The rest are located at University Campus.


College of Arts and Sciences

Cheryl L. Berry is an instructor of biology and life sciences at University Campus.

Dr. Cathleen Dunn is a new assistant professor of psychology and director of the online master’s program in psychology. She is based at University Campus.

College of Education and Social Services

Dr. Suzie Touchton Cashwell is an associate professor teaching human services at the Shaw Education Center in South Carolina.

Dr. Katrina Maxwell is an associate professor teaching human services in the Savannah (GA) Education Center.

Karin May has been appointed a criminal justice instructor at University Campus.

Elizabeth Ruegg has been added to the graduate-level social work faculty as an instructor and is based at University Campus.

Debra Thrower is an instructor of social work and teaches at the Tampa Education Center.

Donald R. Tapia School of Business

Dr. Claudette Andrea is an assistant professor of health care management teaching at the South Hampton Roads Education Center in Virginia.

Dr. Owen Roach is an assistant professor teaching supply chain management at University Campus.

Dr. Mohammed Shaki is an assistant professor of management at the San Diego Education Center in California.
