Movers for Moms® Collection Concludes at University Campus

May 21, 2014

Mother’s Day 2014 was hopefully a little brighter for some local moms temporarily staying at local shelters who received essential care items from the Movers for Mom® campaign sponsored by Two Men and a Truck® Tampa.

Saint Leo University helped by placing six collection boxes in high traffic areas around University Campus. Students, staff and faculty responded to the month-long drive by donating “wish list” items such as bedding, clothing, pots and pans, and bath towels/wash cloths.

Student Services & Residence Life staff assisted with loading the collected items on the truck. Two Men and a Truck® personnel delivered the household items on Mother’s Day to two local shelters – Sunrise of Pasco County Domestic & Sexual Violence Center in Dade City and The Spring of Tampa Bay in Tampa.

Saint Leo University students working for Student Services Residence Life who assisted with loading the donated personal care items are, left-to-right: Gustavo Toledo, Ashley Brown, Shannon Clarke, Jonathan Perrone, Eugenia Parlow, sales and marketing with Two Men and a Truck®, Chris Burke, and Keenan White.
