Our featured speaker will be Assistant Professor and retired U.S. Army Col. Angela Manos-Sittnick, a wounded warrior. Dr. Manos-Sittnick is traveling from Atlanta for this special presentation. She teaches in the criminal justice program, drawing on both her academic background and military experience.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. in the Marion Bowman Activities Center.

The ceremony will also include a wreath presentation, a moment of silence, the parade of colors, veterans acknowledgement, and a dove release. This year’s observance carries a special significance as it will launch the beginning of a year-long celebration of 40 years of educating men and women in the military.

University Campus is four miles east of Interstate 75 at exit 285 on State Road 52. Parking is readily available on campus near the Bowman Center.
