Presents
Lola rennt
(Run, Lola, Run)
The Saint Leo University Film Society, English Department, and
Office of Alumni Relations present an afternoon of film and
discussion.
Tom Tykwer's 1998 masterpiece Lola rennt (English title: Run
Lola Run) is one of the most important international films of
the past twenty years. The story follows Lola's frantic quest
through the streets of Berlin to save Manni, her not-too-bright
boyfriend who has run afoul of his gang's boss. If Lola can not
save Manni, he will die. Will love conquer all obstacles?
Hyperkinetically fast-paced, the film is exciting, funny, and
filled with higher meaning. Come join Dr. Donald Pharr and Dr.
Charles Grimes to watch and discuss this cinematic explosion.
The event is open to everyone, admission is free, and refreshments
will be available.
The film is in German with subtitles and runs 81 minutes. It is
rated R for language and some violence.
