Saint Leo University Welcomes Four New Community Partners

Saint Leo has announced professional working agreements with four new community partners in the Tampa Bay area, and in several states. They are: Newport News Sheriff’s Office, The Circle of Veterans, Corpus Christi Police Officers Association, and the Town of Culpeper.

“We are delighted to launch these community partnerships between Saint Leo University and these organizations,” said Dr. Edward Dadez, vice president of the Division of Continuing Education at Saint Leo University. “It’s essential to cultivate new relationships for the university, and it aids in building a stronger sense of community and independence for our students and graduates.”

Newport News Sheriff’s Office

The Newport News Sheriff’s Office is comprised of various bureaus with special units or sections including. Operations, Services, Professional Standards, and Community Outreach. Sheriff Gabe Morgan Sr. is currently serving his third four year term and is responsible for a staff that exceeds 220.

The Circle of Veterans

The Circle of Veterans and Families, founded in 2013, is a 501c3 charitable organization located on the 10-acre Circle V Ranch in Dade City/Lacoochee in Pasco County, FL. The purpose of the modified ranch is to create an educational, relaxing, and rejuvenating space, for an hour, a day or one of four day retreats. The ranch supports veterans, first responders, and their families who have served post 9-11. Volunteers donate their time to help The Circle of Veterans and families as well as licensed counselors for classes.

Corpus Christi Police Officers Association

The Corpus Christi Police Officers Association (CCPOA) serves its members through a positive program consisting of member benefits, labor relations, legislative support, and legal services. The CCPOA promotes members positions by educating public officials and citizens to the needs of professional law enforcement officers. The association also maintains a program to perpetuate the memory of fallen officers, and maintains a fund to assist officers and their families in times of need. The association has 405 members.

Town of Culpeper

Surrounded by historic landmarks and rolling hills, the Town of Culpeper, VA, blends a rich history with a prosperous future. It features Colonial and Victorian homes, businesses, and shops, galleries, and restaurants. It has been called "One of the 10 Best Small Towns in America." With approximately 15,000 residents, the town is near Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, and Richmond. With more than 100 employees, the town is a distinctive market center in the Upper Piedmont region of Virginia.
