BSW Social Work

If you have a talent for helping people, Saint Leo's Social Work program can help you turn your passion into a career. Social workers make a world of difference in individuals’ lives, and play a vital role in enacting widespread social change.

Why choose Social Work at Saint Leo?

At Saint Leo—Florida's oldest Catholic college—you can bridge education with action. Whether you’re starting fresh, coming back to school after years away, or looking to expand your skill set, Saint Leo’s faculty will help you reach your educational and career goals.

As a Social Work student, you'll explore social welfare policy, human behavior and practice methods in classes that foster community, respect and integrity. In a required internship at a social service agency, you’ll gain exposure to various practice settings and client populations, and develop the tools to empower individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities.

Saint Leo’s Social Work program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). An advisory board composed of students, alumni and human service professionals guides the program, assuring the curriculum’s quality, relevance and currency—across our University Campus, as well as Education Centers.
