Minor - Music

University Campus

Have you always wanted to play the violin, or sing in a band? Saint Leo offers a Music minor to help you realize your musical dreams—whether you’re new to an instrument or looking to expand your repertoire. With lessons in private and group performance, music theory and history, you’ll develop the confidence to take the stage.

Professional development opportunities

  • Off-campus concerts: At Saint Leo, you're tapped into a vibrant arts community and abundant cultural opportunities. Catch a concert or perform at an open mic night in nearby Tampa, Ybor City, St. Petersburg and Orlando—all within a close radius of the university.
  • Campus performances: How would you like to perform in a Saint Leo production? In the past we've done Alice Through the Looking Glass, Guys and Dolls, Once on This Island and Dirty Deeds at the Depot.
  • Community involvement: Spread holiday cheer at the annual Christmas concert. Share your gifts with Voices of Christ, a group of student vocalists and musicians who perform at weekly mass. Perform with an ensemble at a local nursing home.
