It’s no surprise that our Leadership courses are some of Saint Leo’s most popular offerings.

The 18-credit hour Leadership minor follows Saint Leo University's core values of excellence, respect, community, personal development, integrity, and responsible stewardship. You’ll learn to embrace these values, and develop personal leadership and communication skills to make a difference on campus, in your workplace and beyond.

Earn a minor in Leadership through the completion of six courses, beginning your second semester with Saint Leo. Or, complete four Leadership courses for the certificate program in Leadership.

As a student in the Leadership program, you will:

• Develop academic, personal and life goals
• Refine your decision-making and communication skills
• Explore diversity issues, including sexism, heterosexism, racism and ableism
• Learn how to lead groups and organizations
• Become an advocate for social change

Professional development opportunities

• Get involved: With nearly 60 clubs and organizations, you'll find an outlet for your passions at Saint Leo. Our Leaders on the Go program—open to any student involved in three or more organizations—helps you build stress- and time-management skills.
• Community service: Join the Samaritans and RotarAct Club. Participate in the campus-wide Community Service Day. Change lives on an alternative spring break.
• Leadership Workshop Series: Attend a monthly workshop on topics including ethics, communication and conflict resolution.
• Mentor/Mentee Program: Become a mentor, or work one-on-one with a mentor to build your leadership skills.
• Peer Ministry: Work hand-in-hand with RAs to support and guide campus students.
• Leadership Conference: Student Government Union coordinates a leadership conference each semester to help build students’ leadership skills.
