Saint Leo's Donald R. Tapia School of Business takes business to an international scale. Accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), the School's International Business minor develops your capacity for success with programs and events that build business skills on the global scale.

This minor focuses on exposing you to the global economy, and the way global trade and operation of global financial markets affect all economic and business decisions. As an International Business minor, you will study:

  • Global supply chain management
  • Financial management in the global markets
  • Human resource management, including cross-cultural communication, international employment regulations, and the role of labor organizations abroad

Professional development opportunities

  • Networking: The inaugural Executive Advisory Council to the School of Business includes distinguished members from Ernst & Young, Tribridge, T. Rowe Price Services, Newport News Shipbuilding, Tech Data Corporation and Catalina Services.
  • Internships: School of Business students have interned at AAA, Home Shopping Network, TECO Energy, Quest Corporation of America and all branches of the military.
  • Study abroad: Prepare for a global economy. Saint Leo maintains partnerships with more than a dozen international universities, and organizes for-credit, faculty-led trips and alternative spring breaks.
  • Technology: Saint Leo's state-of-the-art School of Business building, which opened in 2011, features the latest in innovation—from interactive SMART Boards and a professional broadcast studio, to eco-friendly, sustainable architecture.
  • Conferences & competitions: Participate in the annual International Business Conference, which attracts academics and industry leaders from around the globe, and the annual Business Plan Competition, which puts entrepreneurial spirit into action.
