The Committee Interview

What is considered?

The applicant’s personal history will be reviewed by the Committee starting from high school graduation through the present. This will include an outline of the applicant’s work and volunteer history, participation in relevant experiences, and consideration of personal goals and aspirations.

What is the structure of the interview?

This is a formal interview, thus applicants should dress professionally. The interview generally lasts 45 minutes to an hour. Three to five Committee members will address the applicant regarding questions about current topics that probe the depth of the applicant’s commitment to the chosen career. While this is a formal interview, applicants should keep in mind that it is the goal do the committee to help the applicant prepare for a successful admissions interview with the respective program of study. The Committee is dedicated to helping the candidates remain relaxed during the process; however applicants should prepare extensively for the interview.
